SOLANUS
International Journal for Russian and East European Bibliographic, Library and Publishing Studies


SOLANUS is an annual journal dealing with all aspects of the printed word in Russia and Eastern Europe. These include: the history of printing and publishing, the present status of the printed media, librarianship, bibliography, reader studies and the book arts. Articles dealing with archives and manuscript material are also published.

Volume 18 (2004) includes articles on: Early printing in old cyrillic, Ivan the Terrible and book culture, Empire, print and the Russian englightenment, Rare books from Voronezh: Nazi plunder and British restitution, the Bibliothèque slave de Paris.
