Description of research topic:
My research examines the relationship between rural sociology and social change in interwar Romania. Using the case study of the Bucharest School of Sociology led by Dimitrie Gusti, I analyse these social scientists' research practices of fieldwork in various Romanian villages, their interpretation of rural transformations and the ways in which these were translated into a blueprint for social change.
