I received my PhD degree in Economics from Göteborg University in Sweden in 2001. After my graduation I continued to work at the Department of Economics of Göteborg University as an assistant professor in Finance. In 2004 I joined Groningen University in the Netherlands as an assistant professor in Financial Management. During my academic career I was also a visiting researcher at the Department of Finance of the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania, Uppsala University, Copenhagen Business School, and The Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT). I have also provided consulting services to a number of public and private organizations. I joined SSEES in 2005 as Lecturer in Economics of Central and Eastern Europe.
Research Interests
I have published papers in the areas of corporate finance, banking and financial regulation, and labour markets.
