UCL SSEES Library
The Ukrainian section contains approximately 8,000 books and pamphlets and some 34 periodical titles are currently received, 12 of which are newspapers. Most of the holdings have been acquired in the post-war period although a small collection has been held since the foundation of the School. This was later supplemented by the publications of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, which the Library received as gifts. All subjects in the humanities are covered at present, with the emphasis on reference materials, bibliography, history, language and literature. In the social sciences acquisitions have increased in politics and current political and economic transition. Acquisitions in education, art and other subjects are more selective.
