About the Centre
The CCE, based at UCL SSEES, is an interdisciplinary grouping of economists and social scientists conducting research in the broad field of comparative economic studies.

Aims and Objectives
The key role of the CCE is to act as the central hub of UCL, fostering research and related activities in the comparative economic study of globalisation, institutions and development. Focusing principally on the economies of Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia, our research embraces financial economics, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, innovation and technical change, international trade, FDI, health and well-being, labour markets and political economy.

The centre works to develop and promote intellectual engagement among its members and between academics, policy makers and businesses with an interest in comparative economic studies.
